Marquee weddings - everyone's invited
If you want to invite as many of your good friends and family members as possible to your wedding, you're probably considering hiring a marquee. They're a great way to have your cake and eat it - the wedding venue of your choice, with as many guests as you like.
Mellerstain is fortunate enough to be working with two of the best marquee companies in Scotland, as well as one of the most creative marquee decorators around. Between them, they can ensure that you have the perfect arena for our caterers to serve your guests in, and all the stylish space you need to allow as many people to share your day here at Mellerstain as you would like.
Choices and costs
As no two marquee setups are the same, and in order to give you the greatest flexibility, as well as the most transparency in terms of costs, Mellerstain's provision of marquees operates on a 'pitch fee per guest' basis (currently £6.50). The total cost (to you and to Mellerstain) of providing a marquee is directly proportional to the number of guests you wish to entertain. Requirements for flooring, heating, lighting, toilet facilities and so on will all be be affected by the size of the marquee, and whether you would like to use a traditional design (with guys and ropes) or a framed pavilion.
Once you have decided on your requirements and which of our suppliers you'd like to use, our wedding planner Lindsey will oversee the day-to-day details.
Fixtures and fittings
The tables, chairs, flowers and other decor of a marquee are what transform it from something simple into something spectacular. Whether you opt to include a dance floor or a starlight ceiling, our "marquee magicians" can conjure up all manner of tented delights!
Please remember to bear in mind that in addition to the main guest marquee, our caterers will need a service marquee. The cost of this and all the other ingredients mentioned above are what will determine the final price for your choice.
