Where eagles dare
Mellerstain is set in the beautiful Borders, and not very far away (at a secret location) there are breeding ospreys, which if you are very lucky you may glimpse as they catch salmon in the Tweed or other waterways in the area.
There is something about birds of prey that gets to people - whether it's their power, intelligence or physical beauty, they can't fail to impress. We may not be able to guarantee an osprey sighting during your wedding, but we can provide you with your very own hawk or owl experience up close and personal on the day.
This is a wonderful opportunity for you and your guests to handle one of these amazing creatures, or include them in your wedding photos. The birds are trained by Falconry Scotland and are approachable and co-operative. Display flying can also be arranged.
