Mellerstain's Calendar for 2008

Mellerstain will be playing host to a variety of concerts, walks, exhibitions and other events. Some dates and details have yet to be confirmed, so do check back to see what's been added to this year's calendar.

Snowdrop Walks

Sunday 17th & Sunday 24th February

snowdrop walks at MellerstainVisit Mellerstain's beautiful terraced gardens and wooded parkland at snowdrop time. The grounds will be open between 11a.m. & 4p.m. Refreshments will be available in the Courtyard Coffee-Shop, and 'guided walks' will leave the house at 2p.m.

Admission to grounds £3.50; Accompanied children FREE.

Borders Music & Arts Guild (BMAG) Concert
Thursday 24th April, 7.30p.m

These young Scottish musicians will perform works by Brahms, Faure and Tchaikovsky.

(during normal house-opening hours, Sundays, Wednesdays and Bank Holiday Monday, 12.30 - 4.15p.m.)

A touring exhibition from Northumberland photographer David Taylor, celebrating the St Cuthbert's Way Walking Trail. The changing seasons bring their own variety and visual appeal to the images on display, which are enhanced by David's characteristic use of colour and light, and his ability to capture the atmosphere in landscape.

Summer Exhibition

An opportunity for art-enthusiasts and collectors to visit an extensive show of new work by twenty established artists in the Art Gallery on Mellerstain's spacious ground floor. Past exhibitions have received glowing reviews, and this year's show promises to be the most exciting yet. The artists include Delphine de Castellane, Tom Davidson, Chris Hall, Helen Kemp, Anna King, Cleo Mussi, Rob Newton, Alexander Robb, Mooie Scott and Helen Tabor ..... final list and more details will appear on the Art Gallery page during the summer.
