Mellerstain's programme of events this year includes a series of classical concerts and a variety of art exhibitions. Check back here as new dates and artists are finalised.

Embroidery Exhibition

Sunday 3rd June - Sunday 9th July

A fabulous exhibition in the Mellerstain Gallery featuring work by The Embroiderers’ Guild, Scottish Region, in celebration of the Guild's centenary. Opening times: Sun/Mon/Wed/Thurs 12.30-5pm. Coach parties by arrangement.

Daniel de Borah - piano

Borders Music & Arts Guild Concert - 'A Summer Celebration'

Thursday 22nd June, 7.30pm.

A graduate of St Petersburgh State Conservatoire, Daniel has performed widely in Australia, Russia and Europe, appearing as the soloist with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. The evening begins with drinks and canapés in the terraced garden, and after the concert there is supper with wine and an opportunity to meet Daniel.

Christies Antiques Valuations Day

Wednesday 5th July, 10am-4pm

Christies Antiques Valuations Day, with exhibition of highlights from the forthcoming Christies Scottish Sale, and a tour of Mellerstain. Christies specialists give verbal valuations of British and Irish art, including pictures, jewellery, objects, silver, books and maps. Tickets £10 at the door, allow a maximum of 5 items to be valued.

Mellerstain Gallery September Exhibition

Mellerstain Art Gallery features exciting new work by Tom Davidson, Cleo Mussi, Mooie Scott, Charles Simpson, Kate Philp and Chris Hall. All work is for sale. Opening times are as for the house.

Borders Music & Arts Guild Concert

Thursday 28th September, 7.30pm

A wide-ranging programme of music including well-loved arias, songs by Bridge and Faure, with a lighter comic twist towards the end.

This will be a Tribute Concert for the popular Guild artist Christopher Ross, who died last year.

'Save the Children' Dinner & Cabaret with Peter Pepper

A glittering evening: champagne reception, a three-course dinner with wine, and incomparable entertainment at the hands of magician and (very) funny man Peter Pepper, all in aid of 'Save the Children' charity.
