In the vaulted halls of the old servant’s quarters, the Mellerstain Art Gallery is a dramatic setting for exhibitions of high-quality art of all kinds. Outside, the terraced gardens overlooking the Lake provide a unique location for sculpture in the landscape. For this summer’s festival, a galaxy of noted artists have come together to present a wide-ranging show of over 100 paintings, sculptures, prints, collage and ceramic work, on ‘House-open’ days from 11th July – 26th September. On sale will be recent work by Lettie Blackett, Alan Cameron, Jane Cruickshank, Tom Davidson, Fidelity Dean, Michelle de Bruin, Delphine de Castellane, Kate Downie, Anne Fraser, Vivienne Haig, Chris Hall, Matthew Harris, Lida Hatrick, Caroline Hepburne Scott, Helen Kemp, Angela Lemaire, Cleo Mussi, Rob Newton, Lucy Parsons, Peter Podmore, Mooie Scott and Helen Tabor.
