As well as being open to the public for much of the Spring and Summer, providing one of Scotland's most sought-after wedding venues and offering regular selling exhibitions of top-quality art in the acclaimed new Art Gallery, Mellerstain may be booked for corporate events, fund-raisers and all kinds of private celebrations. Read on for some of the options available.
Other types of event are often possible. Please do get in touch to discuss any ideas you may have. A few restrictions may apply, in keeping with our aim of preserving the fabric of the building and its contents.
- Lowkey team meetings and brain-storming sessions
- Mellerstain's rural location gives business people the perfect opportunity to switch off the mobiles phones, turn on the email 'out of office' message, and get down to the serious business of sharing ideas, face to face, with no distractions. We can provide meeting and break-out rooms, and a full catering service.
- Reward days
- For staff who have earned a day off (!), Mellerstain makes a great destination. Archery, clay pigeon shooting, concerts of light or classical music, or simply a luncheon in a delightful setting away from the bustle of town are a great way to thank your employees for their efforts. There are several nearby golf courses, and packages which combine a trip to one of these, or to any other nearby attraction, can be arranged.
Holidays
Mellerstain has a charming gate-house, the West Lodge, which can be rented for short self-catering holidays. You can see some photos of the self-catering lodge here. It is administered through Hoseasons Holidays Cottages website.
