Chris Hall

Chris Hall's sculptures in wood and stone include commissioned pieces for memorials and public exhibitions, as well as for the Prince of Wales. His landscaped works emerge from the ancient rock and weathered tree-relics which inspire him. "Working with nature nourishes me... For a creative dialogue to begin I need only look closely at what is already happening in a given piece of rock, wood, landscape or plant. I like to place sculptures in a context that has meaning for me. Therefore I have undertaken work in sacred places, such as the cloisters of Iona Abbey, or in landscapes I have designed or chosen."
