Alex Robb

Trained at Glasgow Art School during the 1960s and 1970s, Alexander Robb continues in the tradition of the Scottish Colourists to paint with a realism and heightened sense of colour a wide range of subjects, principally still-life compositions, sea-scapes from his native Dumfriesshire and from Orkney, and townscapes and views from Italy, where the strong sunlight and earth-tones suit his vivid palette.
